AP Language and Composition students took advantage of being able to visit the Foodzeum at the Culinary Institute of the South in Bluffton. The visit presented opportunities to enquire about current food preparation and food safety measures in the industry after a literary study of Schlosser’s Fast Food Nation and Sinclair’s The Jungle. Interactive museum exhibits tested their knowledge of typical Southern foods. Cross students scored above average on these quizzes with the second highest recorded score in the museum’s history.
