Recently a group of six Cross Schools competitors traveled to Sumter to participate in the SCISA Dance Competition. Riley Otwell, a fourth grader won first place in the Jazz/Hip Hop category and was awarded Overall Grand Champion in the lower school for her solo Mad Hatter. This was the largest SCISA Dance Competition to date. Eleventh-grader and upper school competitor, Lucia Carbone explained that “it was such a fun experience, especially since we got to make our particular dance routine up ourselves. I think we improved so much from last year’s dance and I’m excited to do it again.”
All of the girls practiced and worked hard on their choreography leading up to the competition to perfect their dances.
