“Feeling annoyed at your teachers about Midterms? Purchase some tickets to pie them when we return from break,” encouraged upper school teacher, Lauren French. This December, Cross’ middle school student council held a fundraiser where students could enter a raffle for just $1 to pie a teacher of their choice. In the winter sports pep rally, grades K-12 gathered in the gymnasium to watch lucky raffle winners pie a teacher of their choice. The effort raised over $300 for Cross Schools’ student council to fund “both middle school and school-wide events, like the middle school dance, field day, and Christmas Walk activities,” explained Bailee Adkins, middle school teacher and student council advisor.
