“Feeling annoyed at your teachers about Midterms? […] Purchase some tickets to pie them when we return from break,” upper school teacher, Lauren French, encouraged. This December, Cross’ middle school student council held a fundraiser where students could enter a raffle for just $1 to pie a teacher of their choice. In the winter sports pep rally, grades k-12 gathered in the gymnasium to watch lucky raffle winners pie a teacher of their choice. The effort raised over $300 going back to Cross Schools’ student council to fund “both middle school and school-wide events, like the middle school dance, field day, and Christmas Walk activities,” explains Bailee Adkins, middle school teacher and student council advisor.
